Carpal Tunnel Syndrome occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the hand, becomes compressed as it passes through the wrist.
Signs and Symptoms
• Numbness, pins and needles, burning, tingling, or pain in the palm of the hand and fingers, particularly the thumb, index, or middle fingers • Reduced grip strength • The hand can feel swollen even though no swelling is apparent
