Pregnancy Pilates

Pregnancy is such a special time and it is important to look after your body whilst it goes through it’s many changes. At Live Well, we are passionate about helping you exercise safely during pregnancy and to take the best care of your pelvic floor. We understand the body’s biomechanical needs at the different stages of pregnancy and how specific exercises can help. We are on a mission to empower mums-to-be with the knowledge and strength to have the best possible pregnancy and childbirth.

Our pregnancy Pilates classes are run by experienced physios who are also Pilates instructors and mums themselves.

Our unique Pregnancy Pilates classes will help you to stay happy and healthy and prepare for the arrival of your baby!

What happens in a class?

The classes are 1 hour in duration and consist of Pilates mat exercises, fitball work and finish with a lovely relaxation and meditation to ensure you leave feeling energised and calm. We take very special precaution with all of our pregnant Pilates goers to make sure we strengthen and stabilise the pelvis and work the whole body to address the common problems in pregnancy. You will also be educated about how to protect your back, pelvis, pelvic floor and how to help prevent abdominal muscle separation.

As you progress through your pregnancy we focus on preparation for birth and discuss your plan for this and work on how we can help prepare your body. The classes are designed to help you stay happy and healthy throughout your pregnancy!
