Gluteal Tendinopathy is a painful condition where the tendon that attaches the buttock muscles into the hip becomes degenerative. Tendinopathy is usually caused by poor pelvic stability, which causes abnormal stress to be placed on the tendon over a period of time. It is most common in middle-aged women.
Signs and Symptoms
• Pain in the buttock • Pain on walking or running • A feeling of instability around the hip or pelvis • Stiffness, especially in the morning • Pain when lying on the sore side at night
