More on Menopause & Women's Health Doctor

What can a Menopause & Women’s Health Doctor help with?

Our Menopause & Women’s Health Doctor can support women experiencing symptoms related to perimenopause, menopause and hormonal health, including hot flushes, fatigue, sleep disturbances, mood changes, brain fog, low energy, weight changes and overall wellbeing concerns.

Dr Usha also offers appointments for menstrual and sexual concerns – endometriosis, pelvic pain, PMOS (PCOS), PMDD/PMS, cervical screening tests/Breast screening consultations.

What to expect at your first menopause consultation with Pranavi Women’s Health

Your initial perimenopause/menopause consultation is a comprehensive 60-minute appointment. We will discuss your main concerns, take a detailed medical, gynaecological/obstetric, lifestyle, screening (cervical screening test/mammogram/bone density screening), and family history, review any tests you bring, complete symptom questionnaires, and perform relevant examinations (which may include breast or vaginal examination and basic measurements).

We will then discuss any further investigations, referrals, and treatment options — hormonal, non-hormonal, and lifestyle — and provide clear, evidence-based guidance and resources. You may receive your personalised management plan on the day or following review at a subsequent appointment. This dedicated time is an important investment in your midlife health and wellbeing.

What to expect at your women’s health appointment

Women’s health appointments are for women who want to see us for menstrual and sexual problems. This includes period pains and heavy periods, PCOS/endometriosis, PMDD symptoms/mood symptoms around periods, sexual problems, contraception (Hormonal IUD/Implanon), vaginal concerns and recurrent urinary tract infections/urinary incontinence.

During this consultation we explore your history, your menstrual cycle and symptoms, relevant examination, and organise appropriate investigations and negotiate a comprehensive, holistic plan for your care along with follow ups. These appointments can be 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 45 minutes, you are advised to book appropriate appointment duration based on complexity of your concerns.
