One simple act of kindness can last a life time.
We believe life is better lived when we are kind to each other and look for way to help each other.
As part of our Give Well programme, we fund an act of kindness for a team member at each clinic every month and we just love hearing what they decided to do and the effect it had.
Some amazing stories from our team:
“I bought someone’s fuel at a service station and they were so appreciative.”
“I sent flowers to a friend who was grieving a loved one.”
“I bought a personal development course for someone I knew who was having a challenging time and they said it gave them hope things would get better.”
“I sent flowers to a client who was going through a challenging time, it made their day!”
“I used my Give Well money for Share The Dignity’s ‘It’s in the Bag’ campaign and loved digging deep into my wardrobe to find a handbag I wasn’t using anymore, shopping for toiletries and then writing a special note for the women who would receive it. I imagine those on the receiving end may have felt like a real person was looking out for them.”
The effect of giving on our own health is amazing and we believe that the sense of contribution and connection to our community is critical for our health and wellbeing. We run this initiative because we value our team members’ health and wellbeing and we love the feedback we get about how it made them feel to make a difference to someone’s day.
What can you do today to brighten someone else’s day? It might be a smile or paying for someone’s coffee, helping a friend by having their children over if you know they need a break, or cooking a meal for someone who is time-poor.
