Podiatry

If you live to 80, you will have walked the equivalent of five times round the earth! Will your feet make it? Podiatry deals with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. The conditions podiatrists treat include those resulting from bone and joint disorders such as arthritis, and soft-tissue and muscular pathologies, as well as neurological and circulatory disease. Podiatrists are able to diagnose and treat any complications which affect the lower limb, including skin and nail disorders, corns, calluses and ingrown toenails. Foot injuries and infections gained through sport or other activities are also diagnosed and treated by podiatrists. We are fortunate to have excellent podiatrists at our two locations. David Clover of Clover Podiatry is based at Live Well Hillarys. Anne Edwards of Currambine Podiatry is based at Live Well Currambine. Both David and Anne are experienced, well-reputed podiatrists with expertise in: • Assessment and diagnosis of foot and ankle problems • Biomechanical problems of the lower limb • Sports biomechanics including running technique and footwear • Dry needling (acupuncture) • General nail care/surgery • Diabetic foot assessment and management • Orthotic prescription David also has a special interest in sports biomechanics including running technique and footwear. Anne has additional expertise in diabetic foot care. To book a Podiatry appointment at Hillarys with David call 9403 6801. To book a Podiatry appointment at Currambine with Anne call 9304 1000.
