Podiatry

If you live to 80, you will have walked the equivalent of five times round the earth! Will your feet make it? Podiatry deals with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. The conditions podiatrists treat include those resulting from bone and joint disorders such as arthritis, and soft-tissue and muscular pathologies, as well as neurological and circulatory disease. Podiatrists are able to diagnose and treat any complications which affect the lower limb, including skin and nail disorders, corns, calluses and ingrown toenails. Foot injuries and infections gained through sport or other activities are also diagnosed and treated by podiatrists. We are fortunate to have excellent podiatrists at our two locations. Jugar Kaur of Hillarys Podiatry is based at Live Well Hillarys. Anne Edwards of Currambine Podiatry is based at Live Well Currambine. Both Jugat and Anne are experienced, well-reputed podiatrists with expertise in:

  • Assessment and diagnosis of foot and ankle problems
  • Biomechanical problems of the lower limb
  • Sports biomechanics and injuries
  • Dry needling (acupuncture)/li>
  • General nail care/surgery
  • Diabetic foot assessment and management
  • Orthotic prescription
