Golfer’s elbow, otherwise known as ‘medial epicondylalgia,’ is an inflammation in the inside (or medial) part of the elbow. It often occurs due to tightness and inflammation in the forearm flexor tendons (muscles along the forearm) which attach to that part of the bone.
Signs and Symptoms
• Pain around the inside part of the elbow • Pain radiating into the underneath part of the forearm • Pain with gripping objects • Pain when lifting objects • Pain with functional activities such as opening the lid of a jar, pouring a kettle, turning a door handle • Pain with repetitive bending of the wrist
